Thanks for a great year!
This year's Women Galore festival was our biggest yet and we are so grateful to all of the participants and attendees.
See you in 2019!
Planning for next year's festival will begin at the end of this year.
A Month of Our Own
Women Galore is a month-long cultural festival that celebrates feminist voices. Founded in 2016 by Lauren Smart and The Wild Detectives, the festival takes place throughout the city of Dallas with events that spotlight women writers, artists, musicians, and professionals. If you've been looking for a place to delve into challenging topics one day and dance away your troubles the next, nourish your feminist soul at Women Galore.
Partners & Venues
We are lucky to partner with an array of organizations and venues throughout the city.

The historic Texas Theatre is an art house movie theater and Dallas landmark on Jefferson Blvd.
The Better Block
Better Block Foundation educates, equips, and empowers communities to promote the growth of healthy and vibrant neighborhoods.
Dallas Comedy House

Shoals Sound and Service
One of Deep Ellum's newest bars is the go-to for a classic cocktail, a DJ night, Sunday brunch or a damn good bologna sandwich.
The Wild Detectives
The home base for Women Galore is a bookstore-bar-venue in the Dallas neighborhood of Oak Cliff. The shop is the result of 10 years of friendship of two Spanish civil engineers, Javier García del Moral and Paco Vique. They always wished for a space that could mix two of their passions: books and booze. After a lot of enthusiastic talk over the years they were reckless enough to make that conversation actually happen and so The Wild Detectives opened its doors for the first time on the last day of February, 2014.
